Lowestoft Maritime Museum has launched its first Children’s Trail which it hopes will attract lots of local families to visit the museum this summer. It’s the ideal activity for the summer holidays, whatever the weather!

To take part, families need to come along to the museum in Sparrow’s Nest Park, which is open daily throughout the summer. At our reception desk you can collect an ‘artefact bucket’ and a trail map before they enter the museum. Every child who completes the trail will receive a personalised certificate.

We’d like to thank the talented local artist, Claudia Myatt, who designed the bright, contemporary maps and colouring sheets for the Children’s Trail, as well as Lesley Walker for her valuable support in getting this project off the ground. We hope the children enjoy themselves and learn a little about our town’s maritime history.

The Children’s Trail is free of charge with standard admission into the museum which for 2016/2017 is Adults: £2.00 Children (5-16 years): £0.50 Seniors: £1.00.
